How to Increase Your Metabolism ..

1
Understand what metabolism is. In the simplest terms, metabolism is the rate at which your body burns calories. Very few people have a fast metabolism.  A faster metabolism will enable you to lose more weight than a person with the same activity level, diet, and weight.

  1. 2
Determine what is influencing your metabolism. There are some factors that you can control and change, and some factors that you can't.
    • Age - Metabolic rate decreases 5% each decade, after the age of 40 [2], partly because of decreased muscle mass.
    • Gender - Men generally burn calories more quickly than women because they have more muscle tissue.[2]
    • Heredity - You can inherit your metabolic rate from previous generations.[2]
    • Thyroid disorder - Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland) andhyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland) can slow down or speed up metabolism, but only 3% and .3% of the population have hypo- and hyperthyroidism respectively.
    • Weight - different tissues of your body contribute different amounts to resting metabolism. Muscle contributes more than fat per unit mass and, because it is denser than fat, muscle contributes much more per unit volume [2], but this may not be practically significant [3]. See "Weight training" below.

Eat small, frequent meals. Extending the time between meals makes your body go into "starvation mode," which decreases your metabolism as a means to conserve energy and prevent starvation. While some people are able to lose weight through intermittent fasting, most people generally eat less overall when they eat small, frequent meals. In addition to having four to six small meals per day[6] eating healthy snacks will also increase metabolism

Benefits of Honey Water !

The sugar in honey is a natural sugar, which provides a healthy source of calories. Not only that, it can help to ward off any sugary sweet beverage cravings you may have.

Drinking a warm glass of water with honey first thing in the morning helps to improve your digestive system. The antiseptic benefits of honey help relieve the acidity in your stomach while increasing the production of intestinal mucus. By using raw, local honey you help to acclimate your body to the pollens of your area.

Move over coffee  – honey and warm water are the new dream team for boosting energy.  The benefit to your energy levels by staying hydrated has all but been shouted from a rooftop, hot water with honey can help reduce the soreness and irritation of a sore throat.

11 Reasons Why Dehydration Is Making You Fat ...

Fatigue

Water is the most vital sources of energy in the body. dehydration causes the enzymatic activity in the body to slow down, resulting in tiredness and fatigue.

Asthma and Allergies

When dehydrated, your body will restrict airways as a means to conserve water. In fact, the rate of histamine produced by the body increases exponentially as the body loses more water.

High Blood Pressure

The blood is normally about 92% water when the body is fully hydrated. When dehydrated, the blood becomes thicker causing resistance to blood flow, which results in elevated blood pressure.

High Cholesterol

When the body is dehydrated, it will produce more cholesterol to prevent water loss from the cells.

Skin disorders

Dehydration impairs the elimination of toxins through the skin and makes it more vulnerable to all types of skin disorders, including dermatitis and psoriasis, as well as premature wrinkling and discoloration.

Digestive Disorders

A shortage of water and alkaline minerals, such as calcium and magnesium, can lead to a number of digestive disorders, including ulcers, gastritis and acid reflux

Bladder or Kidney Problems

With a dehydrated body, the accumulation of toxins and acid waste creates an environment where bacteria thrive, resulting in the bladder and kidney to be more prone to infection, inflammation and pain.

Constipation

When short of water, the colon is one of the primary regions the body draws water from in order to provide fluids for other critical body functions. Without adequate water, wastes move through the large intestines much more slowly or sometimes not at all, resulting in constipation.

Joint Pain or Stiffness

All joints have cartilage padding which is composed mainly of water. When the body is dehydrated, cartilage is weakened and joint repair is slow resulting in pain and discomfort.

Weight Gain

When dehydrated, cells are depleted of energy. As a result people tend to eat more when, in reality, the body is thirsty.

Premature Aging

When chronically dehydrated, the body's organs, including its largest organ, the skin, begins to wrinkle and wither prematurely.

5 EASY WAYS TO WAKE UP HAPPY

1. WAKE UP TO SUNSHINE

When you wake up to sun pouring through your windows, your body is signaled to stop its flow

of melatonin, a hormone that makes you sleepy.

2. DON’T SNOOZE

Apparently, our brains know all about the snooze button, so when you are in your morning tussle with your alarm, your brain won’t put you back in a deep, restful sleep — it knows that you will have to get up in a few minutes.

3. PUT ON MUSIC

Putting on good music will put you in a good mood in the mornings for obvious reasons, and if it’s upbeat, it will help you stay awake. Be careful about setting your favorite song as your alarm though — you might end up hating it.

4. DRINK WATER

Drinking water when you get up is a great way to provide energy by making up for the fluids your body lost while you were asleep. Because everything your body does requires water, when your body is dehydrated it has to work harder, which can make you feel even more tired.

5. POWER DOWN BEFORE BED

Turn all of your screens off an hour before bed. Because TVs, computers, and iPads are all stimulators, it can be hard for your brain to wind down for sleep right after you use them. You’ll have to decide for yourself if the benefit of this outweighs the joys of falling asleep watching Netflix.

Ways to treat a Hangover !

Rehydrate. Dehydration is the main cause of hangover symptoms. To head off dehydration in advance, pour yourself a large glass of water as soon as you get home, and drink it all before going to bed. Also remember to bring a glass or bottle of water with you to leave on your night stand and sip whenever you wake up throughout the night.

Eat a good breakfast. A moderately healthy, but hearty breakfast after a night's drinking can work wonders. The food will settle your stomach, while also giving you energy. Try some toast topped with a little butter and jam, or better yet, some scrambled eggs. The toast will soak up any excess alcohol left in your stomach, while the eggs contain proteins and B vitamins perfect for replenishing your body's natural resources.

Sleep. It will take your body several hours to metabolize the alcohol, so you might as well sleep through a couple of them and hopefully you'll feel much better when you wake up!

Take a couple of painkillers. If your head is hurting, try taking a couple of painkillers such as aspirin or ibuprofen to ease the pain. Always take these pills in the morning, rather than the night before when you still have alcohol in your system.

A Morning Glory Juice, healing for liver toxicity.

The cleansing virtues in beets juice is very healing for liver toxicity or bile ailments, like jaundice, hepatitis, food poisoning, diarrhea or vomiting. Beets have been shown to help cleanse the blood, cleanse the colon and strengthen the gall bladder and liver. The choline from beet juice detoxifies not only the liver, but also the entire system of excessive alcohol abuse.
Carrot juice is diuretic and helps to eliminate excess fluids from the body, reducing water retention, especially for women during their monthly menstruation cycle and in pregnant women.

Let's get started with the Ingredients that you will need:

  • 1 Beet Root
  • 2 Medium Carrots
  • 2 Oranges

Process Carrots in a juicer, place carrot processed, oranges sliced, beet root scrunched, water and ice in you Infuser Water Bottle, shake or stir and serve.

TOP 8 Fruits you should be eating ... Or drinking.

Blueberries

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants, which help fight cancer and prevent macular degeneration. Like cranberries, they contain compounds that can protect against urinary tract infections.

Apples

Eat the skin for a high dose of fiber -- both soluble (the type that helps lower cholesterol) and insoluble (it keeps you regular). In addition to meeting 15 percent of your daily fiber needs, an apple is crammed with antioxidants.

Bananas

High in potassium and low in sodium, bananas help lower your risk of high blood pressure and stroke. Bonus: Protease inhibitors that can prevent stomach ulcers.

Red & Purple Grapes

Red wine isn't the only source of resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant that could help fight heart disease. You get nearly as much resveratrol in a cup of dark-colored grapes as you do in a five-ounce glass of merlot.

Kiwis

Ounce for ounce, kiwis contain more than twice as much vitamin C as oranges, plus they may lower the risk of cataracts and could even protect DNA from damage.

Oranges

A single orange gives you almost a full day's vitamin C, plus potassium. The opaque membrane around each wedge has hesperidin, which may lower cholesterol. Even the scent is calming, according to research.

Papayas

These contain papain, a substance that helps improve your digestion. Papayas also provide a lot of vitamin C and are a good source of folate.

Strawberries

A daily handful helps control type 2 diabetes and stave off heart disease and inflammation. Strawberries are also an excellent source of vitamin C and other antioxidants.
