Metabolism Boosters You Need To Try !

1. Drink lemon water right when you wake up. This is a great morning ritual that will help kickstart the rehydration process and cleanse the digestive tract. The lemon contains Vitamin C, which will not only help your metabolism but will provide strength to your immune system as well.
2. Mind your fiber. Make an effort to get your daily fiber requirement met each day. You’ll notice an improvement in how you feel as well as notice a difference in how much your metabolism improves. You can try making a Lemon Infused Water in your Infuser Water Bottle.
3. Eat more protein. All else being equal, more protein will provide a metabolism boost so it’s important that you’re getting enough. You don’t need to go overboard, but you definitely don’t want to fall short in this department for long periods of time.
4. Keep the meals coming. Rather than skip meals in an attempt to reduce your caloric intake and lose weight, focus on eating more frequently without getting extra full. Keeping your metabolic fires fueled is an effective way to make sure you always have enough energy to keep going.
5. Get better quality sleep. Getting to bed earlier is one step in getting better sleep. You’ll also want to make sure that you’re not getting too much sleep and waking up at the same time each day. Improve your sleep and you’ll boost your metabolism effortlessly.

Fat Burning Foods: #Fitness

Here are 5 Fat burning food you should know about:

1. Broccoli- my favorite vegetable actually burns more calories being digested in your body than it contains, so everytime you eat brocolli, you are losing weight. Broccoli is also a cancer-fighter, so stock up on this nutritious veggie! I eat broccoli as a food to lose weight every day, with a bit of salt, and sometimes some olive oil (a healthy fat) and maybe a bit of lemon juice sprinkled on. It’s probably the tastiest fat burning food (celery is another fat burning food that burns more calories than it contains, but since I don’t really like the taste it’s not on this recommended list).

2. Lemon- Drink water to lose weight. Ok, no big secret there (drinking water makes your body metabolism work optimally). Want to really kick start your weight loss? Drink water with fresh lemon juice, and you’ll find that even if you don’t diet, you’ll lose weight. Why? It may be because lemon acts as a surfactant (cuts the grease- housewives who clean with natural products such as lemon know this already), but lemon juice washes away fat residue along your digestive tract that was waiting to be digested and incorporated into your body. It’s the best fat detox trick, but it must be fresh lemon juice. Cut open a lemon and squeeze it into each glass of water.

3. Lettuce- Did you know what eating a salad before each meal will not only fill you up so that you don’t pig out on the main meal, but lettuce is another fat burning food- few calories, lots of metabolic burning to get it digested. I love salad, so this one is awesome for me. If you like something tasty in your salad, you can add the next group of foods to lose weight.

4. Grilled chicken and hard-boiled eggs contain protein, which prevents the spikes in blood sugar that lead to hunger pangs. Protein fat burning foods make you feel fuller sooner, are very healthy, necessary to build muscle, are low in fat (one or two eggs is relatively low in fat, even if you eat the yolk, considering how full it makes you feel and all the vitamins and amino acids it contains). A salad with grilled chicken or sliced hard-boiled eggs for lunch is the ultimate lunch food to lose weight.

5. Green tea- of course there was going to be another beverage- being hydrated is important when you are trying to lose weight. Green tea contains catechins (more cancer-fighting antioxidants) that speed up metabolism and fat burning. Green tea tastes great, and has a slew of health benefits- that green tea is a drink to lose weight and tastes good too is a huge plus. When you are out with friends, don’t order a coffee, order a green tea.

Hydrated Brain: Yes, your brain needs water.

Our brains depend on proper hydration to function optimally. Brain cells require a delicate balance between water and various elements to operate, and when you lose too much water, that balance is disrupted. Your brain cells lose efficiency.

The brain is one of the most important organs in your body to keep fueled. It is approximately 85 percent water and brain function depends on having abundant access to water.

Water gives the brain the electrical energy for all brain functions, including thought and memory processes.

Water is also needed for the brain's production of hormones and neurotransmitters. Nerve transmission requires one-half of all the brain’s energy.

One of the most fascinating aspects of neurons is that they store water in tiny balloon-like structures called vacuoles.  Water is essential for optimal brain health and function.  Water is necessary to maintain the tone of membranes for normal neurotransmission. It enhances circulation and aids in removing wastes. Water keeps the brain from overheating, which can cause cognitive decline and even damage.  This is one of the main reasons to encourage students to drink water during exercise. Dehydration most commonly occurs because children go long periods of time without drinking water.  When they are thirsty they often choose sweetened drinks instead of water.  By the time thirst is felt, there may be a loss of body weight up to 2% from water loss, and a 10% cognitive decline may be present. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, dizziness, poor concentration and reduced cognitive abilities.  Even mild levels of dehydration can impact school performance.

Children in classrooms can be given structured water breaks or encouragement to keep a water bottle at their desks to sip throughout the day to achieve the recommended intake of 8 glasses a day, with 4 consumed during the school day.

Stay hydrated and try drinking water, at least your 8 oz. You can try getting a reusable bottle, maybe an Infuser Water Bottle and take your water everywhere you go.

Live healthy, drink healthy.

AMAZING FACTS ABOUT YOUR BODY

When you blush, your stomach’s lining blushes too.

Okay you will never un-see this fact from now on, seeing somebody blush and imagining their stomach doing the same. These people have their stomach lining turn red due to the chemicals that get produced in the body and cheeks capillaries are connected to the stomach.

Amphetamine addiction mimics those feeling of falling in love.

Amphetamine, an addictive and mood altering drug may also have the same effect that falling in love does. When in love, the brain releases the same mixture of neurotransmitters and hormones which lead to increased heart rate, loss of sleep and appetite, and excitement. Amphetamine though is addictive and may only be used with prescription.

Every 13 seconds, you produce more cells than the population of the US.

Every second, the body produces a total of 25 million new cells. For 13 seconds, your cells may outnumber the United States population.

You can see the UV light.

But your eye lens filters it. Those who have their lens removed may detect UV lights.

Your belly button is an ecosystem.

This sounds gross but you have to listen to it. Your belly button contains thousand of bacteria that form an ecosystem which is equivalent to the size of a rainforest. And you may be in awe at how much and how diverse these bacteria are after reading this National Geographic’s feature on the topic, What Lives in Your Belly Button? Study Finds “Rain Forest” of Species.

The average human produces 365 litres of saliva in one year.

Saliva production is constant, although it’s a bit icky to think of, saliva is an important part of the body and your digestive system.

Crying alleviates stress.

That’s why when pent up feelings are finally let go, crying seemed to be the best idea to accompany it. Crying lets human decrease feelings of anger as well as sadness.
