What's a Raw Vegan Diet ?

A raw foods diet consists of unprocessed raw vegan foods that have not been heated above 115 degrees Fahrenheit (46 degrees Celsius). "Raw foodists" believe that foods cooked above this temperature have lost their enzymes and thus a significant amount of their nutritional value and are harmful to the body, whereas uncooked foods provide living enzymes and proper nutrition. Proponents of a raw food diet claim that there are many benefits to eating raw foods, including weight loss, more energy, clear skin, improved digestion and improved overall health. Many people clarify that they eat a "high raw" or a certain percentage of raw foods in their diet, such as "75% raw diet" or a "90% raw diet".

"You are what you eat ". You'll start taking it serious ...

You are what you eat, literally.

"What you eat is what you are putting in you body, the saying "You are what you eat" is literally true."
Lisa OzHealth Education

Every one of your cells is replaced in about seven years, and your food is what those new cells are made from. So take a good look at what you have got on your plate. It is about to be a part of you. If you want your body to perform at a peak level, make sure you are giving it good quality material to work with.

How do you feel after you eat? Do you feel strong, comfortable, invigorated, or do you feel bloated, stuffed, queasy, or nauseated? When you wake up in the morning, are you bright, alert, and ready to greet the day, or do you feel sluggish, exhausted, or congested? Answer these questions honestly, and be aware of the ways in which your body is trying to communicate with you about your food choices. If it is not totally happy, change what you are doing.
